As you can tell from our website and our brand, rivers are very important to us. They form the lifeblood of our planet and are a metaphor for life itself. There is nothing more soothing than to sit by a babbling brook and listen as the water tumbles over the small pebbles. There is nothing more awe inspiring than standing next to the brink of a waterfall as the river leaps over the precipice and crashes into the rocks below. There is nothing more humbling than to ride the waves among the rocks of a rapids and to be at the mercy and whims of the water. There is nothing more spiritual than to float gently along with the current in canoe on a river. 

Today, when people talk of "green" most people think of energy, as well they should. However, our rivers and streams need our attention and our protection as well. Our earth is running out of clean water. As we move further into this century water will become the next oil, demanding higher and higher prices, causing more and more conflicts.
