River Clean Ups

River Cleanup Organization and Management

Interested in cleaning up a river in your community but don't know where to start? We can organize and
management the clean up efforts for you. We work with you to define your goals and objectives. We then develop a communication plan to locate volunteers, raise funds from local businesses, and promote your event. Leading up to the day of the clean up we will make the necessary arrangements for clean up equipment, trash receptacles and hauling, and food and water for the volunteers.

We can lead a shore-based cleanup, a water-based cleanup, or a combination depending on the river and local access rights to the water.

A Network of Support for the White River
Originally part of the State of Indiana's Adopt-a-River program, Confluence has been sponsoring river clean ups since 2009. Through these efforts our teams have removed over 10 tons of debris from a two and quarter mile section of the White River.

"Our" adopted section begins just north of 206th Street in Noblesville and continues downstream to Potter's Covered Bridge. Most of this section is bordered by private property so our efforts focused on removing debris from the riverbed, sandbars, islands, and banks. Utilizing canoes, barges and a variety of tools we have removed several hot water heaters, a refrigerator, boat hulls, countless tires, and a staggering collection of other trash and debris.

Interested in lending a hand? We can use experienced canoeists (no children under 14), land crew members, and sponsors. Contact us today to reserve a spot in our next event at Info@ConfluenceDynamics.net.
